Baker & McKenzie Receives Six Wins At Euromoney Women In Business Law Awards 2014.

Baker & McKenzie took home six awards at the Euromoney Legal Media Group Asia Women in Business Law Awards held in Hong Kong last night, including the coveted “Best International Firm for Women in Business Law” award for the fourth year running.  The Firm also won “Best Firm for Pro Bono Work”, a country award for Hadiputranto, Hadinoto & Partners (HHP), the member firm for Baker & McKenzie in Indonesia and three individual awards.The Firm had the most nominations in the region and was shortlisted for nine Firm awards, nine country awards and 15 individual awards.

 

Ms. Kherk Ying Chew from Wong & Partners (member firm of Baker & McKenzie in Malaysia) was named the “Best Lawyer in IP litigation”, Ms. Seraphim Mar from the Taipei office as “Best in Labour and Employment” and Ms. Kana Itabashi from the Tokyo office as “Rising Star in Corporate”.

 

Anne-Marie Allgrove, Asia Pacific representative on the Firm’s Global Diversity & Inclusion Committee and partner in the Firm’s Sydney office, commended all those involved in supporting diversity at the Firm. “These awards reflect our unwavering commitment to diversity, both professionally and personally. They also reflect the individual accomplishments of our truly exceptional women lawyers.”
