Hogan Lovells Expands IP Practice.

Hogan Lovells has announced that partners Alan Chiu and Eugene Low have joined their IP practice, along with seasoned consultant Kenny Wong. They were all previously with Mayer Brown JSM and will be based in Hong Kong. 

 

Alan is handles the full spectrum of contentious and advisory intellectual property work in both Hong Kong and China, ranging from complex litigation to IP due diligence, licensing, defamation and privacy. Alan is experienced in managing anti-counterfeiting portfolios and coordinating Customs seizure programmes for well-known brands in the Greater China Region. 

 

Eugene is likewise an all-rounded IP practitioner with a track record of contentious and advisory work experience in Hong Kong and China. Apart from being an experienced IP litigator, Eugene also advises on an interesting range of subjects including gaming laws, technology licensing and disputes, copyright clearance projects, and various types of contracts and projects for the sports and entertainment sectors. Eugene also advises extensively on data privacy, trade descriptions, consumer protection and advertising laws, and is experienced in advising clients in handling customer complaints and investigations by regulatory authorities. 

 

Kenny has an excellent reputation with over 26 years’ experience, including over 15 years as the Head of Mayer Brown JSM’s IP/IT practice in Asia. His practice covers the full scope of contentious and commercial IP work, including franchise law and an enviable niche entertainment practice.
