Norton Rose Fulbright Announces New Corporate Partner In Hong Kong.

16 June, 2014

Norton Rose Fulbright has announced that Emma de Ronde, a corporate partner in the London office, will be relocating to Hong Kong from 16 June. She has experience in cross border M&A, international equity capital markets and corporate advisory work.

Emma de Ronde commented: “We’ve seen a real pick-up in activity in the financial institutions space in Asia over the last couple of years, with many people in the industry relocating from Europe to Asia. Regulatory issues are now at the forefront for our clients, and while each jurisdiction has its own challenges, regulatory issues our clients face in this sector are common across many jurisdictions.”

Martin Scott, global head of corporate, M&A and securities, commented: “Asia is a key region for many of our clients, and we’re seeing a great deal of growth in client demand for corporate legal services. Emma has strong experience advising on cross-border M&A, equity capital markets, and corporate governance work, and will make an excellent addition to the Hong Kong team.”

James Bateson, global head of financial institutions, commented: “Emma brings extensive experience of executing transactions in the complex regulatory environment faced by financial institutions. We’re seeing an increasing emphasis on Asia from our clients and Emma’s move adds further weight to the strength of our offering there.”
