ZICOlaw Propels With The Expansion Of A Regional IP Practice In ASEAN.

Following the establishment of its Malaysian Intellectual Property (IP) practice in April last year, ZICOlaw continues to advance and expand its IP capabilities in the ASEAN region. It now has a new IP practice team in Thailand with a strong focus on the Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam (CLMV) region and new partners and associates in the area of IP in its Malaysia and Indonesia offices respectively.

 

Thailand’s new IP practice team will be led by 2 partners, Mr. Titirat Wattanachewanopakorn and Mr. Nuttaphol Arammuang. Mr. Titirat is an IP Partner specializing in anti-piracy & anti-counterfeiting. Mr. Nuttaphol is a leading litigator with an extensive experience on a wide range of IP disputes. Aside from his IP litigation work in Thailand, Mr. Nuttaphol has also advised clients from the region on contentious and non-contentious IP matters in other countries, including China and USA.

 

Mr. Ong Boo Seng joins the IP practice team in Malaysia as a partner. He advises clients on IP in corporate and commercial transactions, licensing, franchising and commercialisation of IP rights.

 

Ms. Ajeng Yesie Triewanty, a senior associate has joined the office in Indonesia to advise clients on IP matters. Ms. Ajeng possesses experience in managing trade mark portfolio of clients as well as advising on infringement and cancellation actions pertaining to trade marks. She is also well-versed in the establishment of Foreign Direct Investment Companies in Indonesia.
