We have extensive experience in energy regulatory work in Singapore, and currently act as the legal advisor to the Energy Market Authority of Singapore. We have worked on a wide spectrum of energy issues, including the implementation of contestability in the Singapore electricity market, retail and generation licensing, and gas access provisions.
We are experienced in anti-competitive analysis and legislative strategy, and have advised on regulatory, technical and commercial contracts in the electricity, gas and LNG sectors.
We have achieved significant milestones in our energy practice, having drafted the amendments to both the electricity and gas legislation to introduce retail contestability and open access to pipelines and we have also worked on specialist appeals under the Gas Act.
We also advised an MNC on the first private tri-generation project in Singapore, and acted in the first CDM project in Singapore.
