Baker & McKenzie has announced the election of 19 new partners in the Asia Pacific region and 65 new partners globally, effective 1 July 2014. The 19 new partner appointments in the Asia Pacific region represent a range of transactional practices – Banking and Finance; Corporate; Mergers & Acquisitions; and Securities. They will also provide further specialist advisory support in Antitrust & Competition, Commercial Real Estate; Dispute Resolution; Employment; Energy, Mining and Infrastructure; Intellectual Property; and Tax.

Antitrust & Competition
- Junya Ae is based in Tokyo, and focuses on regulatory matters, particularly those related to antitrust and competition law.
Dispute Resolution
- Simon Hui is based in Shanghai, and focuses on compliance investigations, commercial litigation/arbitration and general dispute resolution.
Energy, Mining and Infrastructure
- Milan Radman is with Baker & McKenzie.Wong & Leow, member firm of Baker & McKenzie in Singapore. His practice focuses on resource and energy transactions, in particular, structuring, restructuring and implementing transactions in the mining and oil and gas sectors.
Employment
- Jonathan Isaacs is based in Hong Kong and focuses on China-related employment and labor issues.
- Thuy Hang Nguyen is based in Ho Chi Minh City and focuses on M&A, employment and labor, compliance, and other corporate and commercial matters.
- Tomohisa Muranushi is based in Tokyo and advises both foreign and domestic clients on matters relating to corporate restructuring and reorganisation.

- Punwadee Ratisoontorn is based in Bangkok and has M&A experience representing public and private companies in corporate restructuring, negotiating and drafting contracts, corporate compliance, takeovers and environmental law.
- Sumet Orsirivikorn is based in Bangkok. He is active in many areas of the corporate and commercial and M&A practice groups, specializing in legal advice for the insurance sector.
