Baker & McKenzie achieved record revenue results in the Asia Pacific Region in the financial year ended 30 June 2011, demonstrating the strength of the Asia Pacific economies and a significant upturn in the demand for integrated, high-value legal advice across the region.

The 14 offices that comprise the Firm’s Asia Pacific Region collectively achieved double-digit revenue growth on the previous year, with collections in the region totalling US$633 million.

Jeremy Pitts, Baker & McKenzie’s Asia Pacific Regional Chairman, commented on the results, “We are delighted to see an increase in business confidence and opportunities in the Asia Pacific among our clients in the region and across the globe. We will continue to use the broad reach and the depth of experience of our 1,300 plus lawyers across the Asia Pacific to add value to our clients. These results illustrate Baker & McKenzie’s strong focus on our clients, the diversity of our practices and the Firm’s strength particularly in the emerging markets.”

Baker & McKenzie appointed 21 new partners across the Asia Pacific region effective 1 July 2011, including two lateral partner recruits.
