Clyde & Co Expands International Arbitration Group With Hire Of Asian Disputes Partner.

23 April, 2015

Clyde & Co is further expanding its international arbitration group by welcoming June (Junghye) Yeum as partner. Prior to joining Clyde & Co, June was co-head of the International Dispute Resolution Group at Lee & Ko and was previously a partner in the New York offices of Baker & McKenzie and Duane Morris. June’s practice focuses on complex and large-scale disputes and international arbitrations.

June will split her time between Clyde & Co’s Asian and New York offices, allowing her to act for clients globally.

Ben Knowles, board member with responsibility for international arbitration comments:

we continue to manage an ever increasing book of complex, cross border disputes, involving a broad range of rules and arbitration centres from around the world. June provides another vital capability with her strong practice in Asia and the US.

June comments:

I am delighted to join Clyde & Co. The firm appealed to me because of the strength of its international arbitration practice, which attracts an increasing number of very substantial cross-border disputes. The strength of the firm’s global network and its investment in its international arbitration specialists were also decisive factors in my decision to join. The collegiate nature of the international arbitration group at Clyde & Co will give me the freedom and support to develop my practice.

June is recognised and ranked as a ‘leading individual’ and in Band 1 for Dispute Resolution by the Legal 500 and Chambers legal directories. In 2015, Chambers Global notes June is “an exceptional advocate” and Chambers Asia Pacific states that clients and spectators have described her as “a standout practitioner and fierce negotiator”.
