Daisy specialises in and has extensive experience in complex commercial litigation, shareholders’ disputes, contentious insolvency matters, commercial fraud and investigations by the Securities and Future Commission. Very often the cases involve multi-jurisdictions and multi-parties (including dispute resolutions in the People’s Republic of China). Her outstanding capability is recognised by those amongst her peers and senior counsel and counsel of United Kingdom and Hong Kong. Her clients include banks (including branch offices in the PRC), blue chip listed companies and international accounting firms and corporations. Daisy was acknowledged and recommended as one of the Leading Individuals for Dispute Resolutions byAsia Pacific Legal 500 from 2003/2004 to the current year of 2010/2011.

Daisy keeps a remarkable success record in all the substantial litigations conducted by her. Such matters include acting for one of the largest developers in relation to the purchase of a hotel to be constructed, winning the appeal in the Court of Final Appeal of Hong Kong. She also represented a bank in a multi-jurisdictions and multi-parties contentious insolvency dispute, ending with a total victory in the Privy Council of the United Kingdom. Daisy has in September 2008 succeeded in the Court of Appeal which upheld the striking out of 2 Writs issued against one of the leading banks claiming damages at the outset of the proceedings for the sum of HK$5 billion for alleged fraudulent misrepresentation and breach of contract. Daisy has in July 2011 succeeded in having the Defendants’ defence struck out in the Bank’s recovery action for a HK$565 M debt plus interest. She has been instructed to represent 3 frontline sales persons of a bank who have been charged in connection with sales of Lehman Brothers Minibond and Constellation Notes in defending these charges, the first ever in the legal history of Hong Kong of prosecution under the SFO for sale of Lehman Brothers related structured financial products and 2 of them have been totally acquitted of all charges in February 2011 and May 2011 respectively, and for the last Defendant, the Department of Justice dropped all charges in July 2011.
