Hong Kong – Deacons Promotes Two To Partnership.

Deacons has announced that associates Su Cheen CHUAH and YU Wai Tung have been elected to the partnership.

 
Wai Tung joined Deacons in September 1979 as a paralegal and having qualified in 1996 at De Montfort University in the UK started as an associate. Wai Tung was admitted in Hong Kong in February 1997 and specializes in a great diversity of real property practices.  

 

Su Cheen, a graduate of the University of Malaysia and Cambridge University, joined the firm in 2007 and was admitted in Hong Kong in May 2009.  She advises clients on the establishment of authorised funds in Hong Kong and the establishment of open-ended and closed-ended hedge funds and private equity funds in offshore jurisdictions. Su Cheen also assists clients with SFC authorization of collective investment schemes and preparation of documentation, and also advises on on-going compliance requirements for SFC authorised funds.
