Hogan Lovells has recruited Bronwen May to join its Hong Kong finance practice. Bronwen joined on 15 September 2014 as a partner in the International Debt Capital Markets (IDCM) team. Bronwen joins Hogan Lovells from O’Melveny & Myers where she held the role of Head of Derivatives (Asia). She advises on the full range of derivatives, including fixed income, equity, credit, fund-linked and commodity (OTC and exchange traded) products as well as structured products (including warrants), and also on the legal and regulatory implications of these transactions.
Bronwen said: “Hogan Lovells’ platform, both in terms of practice areas and geographical spread, is extremely appealing and provides the opportunity to liaise across practice and geographical boundaries and pitch for a broad and varied range of interesting work. I am very much looking forward to working with the team here in Hong Kong and globally.”
Commenting on Bronwen’s arrival, Sharon Lewis, global head of Hogan Lovells’ finance practice, added: “Bronwen has an excellent reputation in the Asia market and is a welcome addition to our global IDCM and finance practices. Hogan Lovells has an established strong global practice, renowned for its US and English law capability; Bronwen’s arrival, combined with that of Andy Ferris earlier this year, extends this to our Asia practice.”
