Hogan Lovells Hosts International Arbitration Conference In Mongolia.

Hogan Lovells’ Ulaanbaatar and Paris offices worked together to help organize and support the International Conference on Commercial Arbitrationwhich launched today in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

At the conference, International Arbitration Partner Laurent Gouiffès gave a presentation on “Best Practices in International Arbitration”, during which he outlined common practices in the field of international arbitration and commented on the Arbitration Law of Mongolia. 


Hogan Lovells’ lawyers also participated in a working-group discussion on how to reform the Arbitration Law of Mongolia. Some of the key issues discussed related to the relationship between local courts and arbitral tribunals, the development of domestic arbitral institutions and the enforcement of foreign awards in Mongolia.


The conference was co-hosted by the Ministry of Justice of Mongolia, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the American Chamber of Commerce of Mongolia and the Mongolia International and National Arbitration Centre (MINAC).
