Hong Kong – Oldham, Li & Nie Launches Women’s Network.

18 January, 2013

Oldham, Li & Nie Lawyers has established a women’s network: [email protected] for which an official launch event will be hosted by the firm on 24th January 2013.

There are an increasing number of women in the business world in Hong Kong and OLN has recognized the fact that these individuals need a support network. The [email protected] initiative will empower female employees to advance their careers through personal growth as well as exchange of important ideas and information.

The three main objectives of [email protected] focus on the individual members and their associates in the local business community:

1. To raise funds for charity
2. To provide mentoring and coaching
3. To organize and encourage networking events

The Network is co-chaired by Scherzade Westwood, the firm’s Compliance Manager and Nicole Cavanagh, a Registered Foreign Lawyer at the firm who practices Matrimonial and Family law. Both women are new to OLN having joined the firm in 2012, and have enthusiastically taken up the reins in terms of promoting and supporting females in the workplace.

The prospect of being part of a group that increases awareness of professional development was embraced by the female workforce at the firm.

Gordon Oldham, Senior Partner said, “I fully support the Ladies Network and the valuable opportunities that the group will afford the women involved. [email protected] is an excellent platform for Oldham, Li & Nie, and our associates, to really build on what we already know –that women are demanding equality within the business world. I have no doubt that [email protected] will strengthen existing professional relationships and promote cultural change in the workplace.”
