Shum Shui Po Elderly Visit
 
 
On July 14 2012, Orrick’s Hong Kong office organized a visit to the elderly in the Shum Shui Po district in conjunction with a local charity Sik Sik Yuen. Volunteers distributed nutrient supplements to the elderly who are either living alone or in deplorable household conditions relying on Comprehensive Social Security Assistance. Sik Sik Yuen is a charitable organization that runs various educational, social and medical services throughout Hong Kong. Salvation Army Clothes Donation Program
 
Orrick’s Hong Kong office organized a program to collect used clothes for donation to The Salvation Army between June and July 2012. The Salvation Army is a Christian organization which provides an extensive range of educational, social, charitable as well as Christian services. The Salvation Army’s recycling programme runs 17 family stores to sell or distribute in-kind donations from companies and individuals to the needy locally or for the relief of disaster survivors worldwide.
