Kirkland & Ellis represented BAIOO Family Interactive Limited, a Chinese children’s web game developer, in its initial public offering (IPO) on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The issuer was the largest online entertainment destination designed for children by revenue in China in 2013, with over 40% of the market share.
The concurrent Hong Kong public offering and Rule 144A/Regulation S placing was priced at HKD 2.15 per share for a total offering size of approximately USD 196m, without taking into account any exercise of the Over-allotment Option. The listing took place on April 10, 2014.
Attorneys involved in the BAIOO deal include capital markets partners Dominic Tsun, David Zhang, Li-Chien Wong, Benjamin Su and Henry Cheng.
