SoftBank Corp. and Legendary Entertainment today announced an agreement under which SoftBank will invest JPY 250m in Legendary. The two companies will also form a joint venture to exploit Legendary’s intellectual property rights. Morrison & Foerster is providing advice to SoftBank on this deal, which is expected to close in October 2014.

The Morrison & Foerster team advising SoftBank was led by partners Susan Mac Cormac and Brandon Parris with support from partners Kenneth Siegel, Robert Townsend and Ivan Smallwood, Paul Jahn, Russell Weiss; and Bernie Pistillo.
