Singapore – Personal Data Protection Bill Introduced To Parliament.

The Personal Data Protection Bill was presented in Parliament on 10 September 2012. The Bill may be passed as early as October 2012 but will likely have a ‘sunrise’ period of 12 to 18 months. The proposed data protection will include a Do Not Call regime which will also apply to SMS.
