Skadden acted as counsel to Fast Retailing, the global clothing retailer, in its listing of Hong Kong depositary receipts (HDRs) on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEx). Fast Retailing is the largest clothing retailer in the Asia Pacific and the fourth-largest specialty store retailer of private-label apparel in the world.

This transaction is the first Hong Kong listing filed and completed under the joint policy statement regarding the listing of overseas companies (JPS) issued by the HKEx and the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) in September 2013. The transaction was also the first listing of HDRs in Hong Kong since 2011 and the first secondary listing in Hong Kong since 2011.
