International law firm Stephenson Harwood has appointed Lynia Lau as a partner in Greater China to head Stephenson Harwood’s Energy & Resources group. Lynia joins from Clyde & Co, where she was a partner and chief representative of the Beijing office. Lynia focuses on the energy sector, particularly in relation to PRC outbound transactions, and she has extensive experience in infrastructure project development, restructuring, M&A, financing and outbound investment. Her sector expertise includes coal, hydropower, nuclear, national power grid, oil and gas, LNG import terminals and trunk lines, airport and public utilities.
Commenting on Lynia’s appointment, Voon Keat Lai, managing partner of Greater China, said “Lynia has a considerable state-owned enterprise client base in Greater China and an in-depth understanding of the energy sector. We are confident that our Asian energy practice will grow dramatically under Lynia’s leadership.”
