The Firm is acting for International Group of Entrepreneur Co., Ltd, (“IGE”) in its joint venture with Daewoo International Corporation (“Daewoo”), for the construction of the Daewoo Amara Lotte hotel in Yangon, Myanmar (the “Project”). IGE and Daewoo have incorporated a joint venture company in Myanmar, Daewoo Amara Hotel Co, Ltd., to undertake the Project. The Project was commissioned under a build-operate-transfer agreement by the Myanmar Investment Commission, which offers a 70-year lease on the site and construction is expected to be completed by late 2016.
